imjen Posted February 3, 2008 Report Posted February 3, 2008 Hi! I'm new here. Thanks for the great messageboard. I looked at the list and couldn't match these ones up. Any ideas?2.5* DL North$49 for 3/8-3/102.5/5 on tripadvisor.comSmoke Free RoomsPool(s)Restaurant(s)Business CenterLaundry FacilitiesHigh-speed Internet Access3* DL South$79 for 3/8/-3/102.5/5 on tripadvisor.comSmoke Free RoomsComplimentary BreakfastPool(s)Laundry FacilitiesHigh-speed Internet AccessOne last one, I'm thinking it's the Holiday Inn Express in Garden Grove2.5* DL South$75Complimentary BreakfastFitness CenterPool(s)Laundry FacilitiesHigh-speed Internet AccessIt does make me a little concerned that top two have both only earned a 2.5 rating on tripadvisor. Wish I could figure out what they are. Any ideas? Also, there really aren't a lot of hotels available for these dates. Do you think that's because Spring Break could be starting that weekend? If so, maybe I should hurry and book something? Thanks!
thereuare Posted February 3, 2008 Report Posted February 3, 2008 Welcome to BetterBidding!I'm not sure of the first property, but best guess is that the 2nd hotel, in the Disneyland South hotel zone is the Cortona Inn and Suites, and the best guess on the 3rd house is the Holiday Inn Express Garden Grove. Please use this HOTWIRE link to begin any purchases you make.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. Colfax Posted February 4, 2008 Report Posted February 4, 2008 You can usually win a Disneyland 3* on Priceline for less than the $79 you're considering for a 3* on Hotwire. Is Priceline an option for you? Or are you looking at HOTWIRE because you want a particular hotel?
imjen Posted February 4, 2008 Author Report Posted February 4, 2008 Thanks to both of you for your feedback. I was thinking if one of the hotwire hotels was one I was excited about I would go ahead and get it there. But ended up winning a 3* on Priceline for $75 instead. I realize this is on the high end for Priceline 3*s but I attempted to win starting between 45-50$ three days in a row and could not score anything up to $68. So yesterday I started at 50 and on my 4th or 5th bid, at $75 I finally won it. It must be because of my dates, Sunday & Monday night, March 9-11. It's the beginning of Spring Break and part of a weekend. Still a great deal though, as I got the Hyatt and it is currently going for $150 and up a night for those dates on all the major travel websites, Expedia, Travelocity, etc. Thanks again!
thereuare Posted February 4, 2008 Report Posted February 4, 2008 Thank you for sharing your winning bid with the rest of us... glad the information on the board was helpful to you.Can you please confirm the dates of your stay, as the dates in your latest post differ from the dates you first asked about in your first post.Enjoy your stay. barbieOR Posted March 22, 2008 Report Posted March 22, 2008 Hi there! You mention Cortona Inn and Suites, a few times. I am trying to purposely book that hotel as I made a reservation for one day less then I should of on another site I truely believe it was their website error but they wont' refund me. So here I am trying to book 5/15 (thursday night) So I don't have to change hotels. I get a rate of 3 star for 58 dollars a night reg 108. Disneyland south. Not sure if anyone has gotten the Cortona Inn and Suites, and I don't see it listed in any of their vacation packages as a hotel choice? I know I will chance it and prob go with priceline and just have to change hotels UNLESS i get lucky.
