007
I noticed that Hotwire lists one 4* hotel for coronado san diego for 2/22/08-2/24/08. It lists it for 159 a night at a 100/nt savings. The hotel matches the description of the loews hotel on coronado, but they have rooms from 209 to 259/nt on those same days. Since 159+100 (savings) = 259, does that mean that hotwire is listing the most expensive room type? Others' thoughts on the matter are appreciated. Thanks. Link to comment

thereuare
The retail rate shown is not necessarily the rate for the hotel you're purchasing. HOTWIRE's stance is that it's the rate for a hotel of that star rating in the zone, not neccessarily the actual hotel that you will receive (although it could be).I wouldn't try to read into the rate too much and would only expect a 'standard' room.Further evidence not to read into the rate too much... on my current search for your dates the price was $159 with a $70 savings (ie- a $229 retail rate)Please use this HOTWIRE link to begin any purchases you make.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.
