I just want to report back that this trip went *extremely* well.

I asked for and was upgraded to a deluxe Queen room on the 32nd floor with a decent view. It was on a renovated floor. The room was perfect - flat screen TV, comfortable bed, walk-in marble shower with glass door, plenty of room, etc. Only problem was that I was right next to the service elevators (probably why the manager didn't mind putting me there), but I wore earplugs every night and can't complain.

The location is great - 2 blocks from Letterman, Subway stations about 1 block in either direction, a couple blocks over is Park Avenue and all the exciting stuff, and even walking to Times Square isn't that bad. Would *definitely* stay there again.

The shower was great - it was really cold during my stay, so I'd come back and take a hot shower in the afternoon just to get some feeling back into my hands and feet.

NYC is amazing!! As an aside, best restaurant I tried was Tocqueville - incredible food, reasonable prices, great service.

Just returned from a two night stay, we really liked this hotel for its location, close to the theater district, and Central Park. The Hilton is a large business class hotel with close to 2000 rooms. At check in I asked for an upgrade, but was given a room on the 29th floor with a queen bed, pull out sofa bed, in room safe, mini bar, flat panel tv, and built in desk. High Speed internet was $15 per day. The bathroom was small yet had a large tiled walk in shower. Overall, the room was on the small side, but had a great layout and everything just fit well and was fine for double occupancy. The Hilton is close to several subway stations, but we took a cab from Penn Station. This is located in some of the most expensive real estate in the the USA, so prices for just about everything seemed to be higher than in other areas of the city. I did notice some of the restaurants nearby had special price fix menus, though. It was great to go out and explore then come back to freshen up before going out in the evening. One day we ended up renting bikes near Central Park and rode around the entire park. I would absolutely stay here again.
