Bid $45, rebid $50, rebid $55, up to $70 through various methods. All rejected. Will wait 3 days and go through it all again. Anyone have any ideas why rooms are tight? Appears Hyatt comes up often at those bids. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

Maybe just a bit early?

This area seems to correspond with Hotwire's QuincyMkt/Financial district and a search there reveals rates in the $140+ range. Rates don't seem that high on Hyatt's website so my guess is that they just haven't released inventory yet.

I'd continue to try once a week at this point (and book a cancellable back-up in the meantime).

Thanks, I will just wait a week. In the mean time, followed your advice and booked a refundable reservation. Will keep everyone posted on my progress.

Tried again with various bid from $40 to $80 a night, still nothing. Other dates seem to work for bids of $40 from vaious sources. I'll keep trying.

FINALLY, got the Hyatt Financial District for $40 7/9/04 and $55 7/10/04 for 2 rooms. Split up bids and probably overbid for Sat. but still happy. Saved over $100 per night. Moderator, if you want me to post separately as to winning bid let me know. Thanks for your help and the help of others! :)

Feel free to call me 'thereuare'... no titles needed around here :)

Normally i'd ask the posts to be separated, but i've adjusted the title of each of your posts to reflect the wins, and prices, for each date. I've also added a link to each post that leads to the other (as you can see right below).

Everyone can see the other nite of this stay before it was split in this PRICELINE BOSTON HOTEL win.
