Welcome to BetterBidding!

Unfortunatel this property has not yet been identified.

Do you need to be in this area? This seems expensive for a 3* hotel and i think you can get a higher star rated hotel, for less money, in one of the other nearby zones.

My preference has been Mayfair and Westminster. I saw a recent win at a 4* in Westminster for much less than this..... I think it was the Grand Tafalgar? but May is probably a different story. The nice thing about Hotwire, is that you can almost identify the properties. There are some I would prefer not to win, and I don't want to take that chance on Priceline. But I might try another area if I was fairly certain of the Hotel. I really like the Mayfair/ Westminster location. Of course, I haven't been to London for 30 years..

I'm a bit confused. There is a 3.5* hotel in Bloomsbury--with amenities that match the Bonnington, for $180. But this is listed as a 3* on the HOtwire list. It has great reviews and I would be tempted to bid if I could identify it. I wanted central location , if possible with easy tube access---it's very easy coming from Heathrow. Didn't want to bid 4* Priceline for Kensington as I don't really want the Olympia hilton or Capthorne. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Liz

Those two amenties probably fit the majority of 3* and 3.5* properties in this area... it may be the Bonnington, upgraded from the last report on the board, but I wouldn't assume that is the case with a limited number of ameniites such as this (and very common ones too)

I was hoping the amenities would be listed as they are on th Hotwire list, and I wondered if it might be an upgrade . I am thinking that most of the hotels 3* and 3.5* in Bloomsbury get very good reviews and I wouldn't mind any of them. DO you think this is a good price--or might it go down?. There was a win for a 4* inWestminster for $152! on ppriceline. The Hilton Trafalger, and it was for MAy! But that is much more risky--not knowing what may come up.

Thanks again.

If you are happy with the Bloomsbury zone boundaries (and it does extend to Kings Cross if you look at the map), that's the zone I would bid on Priceline.

I agree the Bloomsbury zone is very convenient, and has good hotels (in my opinion). I can't see an advantage to taking a 3* or 3.5* hotel in Bloomsbury on Hotwire as opposed to bidding 3* or 4* (depending what you want) on Priceline. I think there's a good chance the savings on Priceline would be better than HOTWIRE.

I agree that Priceline would be less $, but if I bid 4* Bloomsbury it looks like I would probably get the Novotel Pancras--which is not in the best location.Or risk getting the Holiday Inn Regents park, 3* again, not the best location. I guess I may be willing to pay for a specific location.Hotwire still beats the rack rates on the 3--3.5* hotels. Great locations and great reviews. I might just wait a bit and see if prices go down. Plan B may be to bid 4* Mayfair--after that great win for $152. The 4* Priceline Hotel list looked pretty safe--good reviews..

I found the SB link and bid 5* Westminster---trying for the MArriott County HAll--at $179(someone posted that it is a 5* now).

Failed anyway.

Added Mayfair---and bid $152--failed.

I would go back and bid $152--for a 4* Mayfair--hoping for the Hilton Trafalgar.

Can you give any feedback on the other 4* MAyfair hotels listed that may pop up.

Thanks.
