thereuare Posted January 26, 2008 Report Posted January 26, 2008 You're still almost $100 away from their original counter-offer, which is probably too much of a gap. What is your maximum bid for this stay?Is SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID an option? Rhine-and-Roses Posted January 31, 2008 Author Report Posted January 31, 2008 You're still almost $100 away from their original counter-offer, which is probably too much of a gap. What is your maximum bid for this stay?Is SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID an option?I realize the bid is low. I will probably go to a 4 star rather than paying more than $150. I thought about splitting the nights- haven't made a decision. I'll wait another week before I decide, then try again. It was interesting that the counter offer ONLY came when I was bidding on that area alone, not when it was combined with other areas.
WillTravel Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 My experience has been that you only get counteroffers when you are starting a fresh bid, regardless of how many zones are included. So - bid for Zone A - get a counteroffer.Just add Zone B - no counteroffer. But if you instead close the browser and start a new bid for Zone A + B, you will probably get another counteroffer.
Rhine-and-Roses Posted July 7, 2008 Author Report Posted July 7, 2008 When I realized this was the weekend of the London Marathon, I gave up and stayed at a church retreat house near St. Jmes Park.
