It seems like people are scapling rooms in Phoenix just like they are scalping tickets for the game. If I am fortunate enough to secure tickets, what are the odds that priceline has any rooms left at any star levels? I know most hotels have booked up, but at the same time, Phoenix is a large city. Would priceline have access to any of the rooms or is this one of those special occasions when PL is no help and receives no inventory?

I'm headed to the Super Bowl with my father and brother. Ticket prices dropped a bit, but still expensive...After bidding unsuccessfully on resorts to $300 and unsuccessfully on 3 stars near the airport, Tempe, and Scottsdale to $250, I decided to go for the Scottsdale 4 star. I placed Mesa (no 4 stars) in with Scottsdale to avoid duplicate bidding.

Scottsdale 4 star $275...Rejected

added North Phoenix (already rejected at 300) for 300...ACCEPTED!

Orange Tree Golf Resort, Scottsdale

$300/night (retail 600)

2/2/08-2/4/08 (2 nights)

All-suite non-smoking hotel with pull out sofa a bonus.

Thanks to all who made suggestions.

Nice win, given the craziness of Super Bowl weekend. Orange Tree is a decent property in a good location. Obviously, $300 is insane, but it sure beats staying in Tucson!
