robersha Posted January 19, 2008 Report Posted January 19, 2008 Hi, first off love this site. Booked Planet Hollywood on the strip in Vegas for $45/night because of this site! From Vegas I am heading to San Fran and am in need of a 3-4* place in Fishermans Wharf area. I have bid $80 - $95 for Febuary 8th-11th with no luck. I have seen postings on here with winning bids for different dates at $79.Any thoughts/ideas?Thanks in advanceShaun
Colfax Posted January 19, 2008 Report Posted January 19, 2008 Welcome to BetterBidding, robersha. Please clarify your travel dates. The dates in the subject line are different than the dates in your post.Did you bid $95 for a 4* in FW? A 3* in FW? Both?

robersha Posted January 19, 2008 Author Report Posted January 19, 2008 Hi again,I am in San Fran Febuary 8th - 11th. I have bid only on 3 * places for those dates in FW area. The Planet Hollywood in Vegas had been posted a few times already. Thanks againShaun
Colfax Posted January 19, 2008 Report Posted January 19, 2008 Shaun,Even though Planet Hollywood's been reported before please post your own win too. Every post helps. Then I'll have a comment about your Fisherman's Wharf stay.
thereuare Posted January 19, 2008 Report Posted January 19, 2008 To expand on Colfax's comments a bit more...Perhaps the Planet Hollywood has been reported a few times already, but maybe not for the same dates that you have won. There may be somebody else looking for those particular dates and afraid to give it a try because they haven't see a hotel won for their dates yet.As well, having all wins reported to the board helps give an idea of the frequency that hotels are won. If it was sufficient to only see one win per hotel, or not report wins that already appear in the hotel lists, there would only be one post for each property and there would be no idea knowing which is awarded more often than the others.
