Colfax Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 $48 rejected and $50 accepted. Excellent deal as the Homewood was $209 both nights.First I bid 1/9 alone. A couple hours later I learned I would need 1/10 too. When I tried the "Extend your stay at the Homewood Suites" link on my win page I got a message I haven't seen before: "Unfortunately we are not able to add nights to reservations at the Homewood Suites Airport North".This wasn't "no" in response to an extension request from me. I couldn't get as far as requesting. This Homewood apparently has a blanket policy of not allowing Add a Night.I initiated a second bid of $50 for 1/10 (though SavingsBarn, of course) and that was accepted at Homewood too.
thereuare Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 Glad you enjoyed your stay. Thanks for using the PRICELINE links at SavingsBarn.com to begin your bidding. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
zbenye Posted January 12, 2008 Report Posted January 12, 2008 I was able to add nights at this hotel last year. Maybe a new policy, could be just a fluke.
Colfax Posted January 12, 2008 Author Report Posted January 12, 2008 I tried Add a Night on my second night's reservation and got the same message as with the first: "We are not able to add nights to reservations at Homewood Suites Airport North".Also when I checked in I told the clerk I had two separate reservations for 1/9 and 1/10 and asked if they could be combined, with keys made for two nights. She said no I would have to check out 1/10, check back in, and get a new key for 1/10, although probably I could keep the same room, which I did.
kayla Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 Nice win! Their rack rate is pretty high! I'm so afraid to bid 2 1/2 * for SSF since it could end up w/ other hotels that have no fridge which we need for the 2 young children.
