earlthepearlferrell Posted January 10, 2008 Author Report Posted January 10, 2008 I actually was there the night of 12/31 and the night of 1/1/08... Shockingly, the 3* Hyatt (which was quite nice--request a renovated room) tried to charge us a RESORT FEE. Although I don't agree with it, I can understand a resort charging a resort fee. The front desk worker was quite nice and waived the fee when we mentioned at check out that we did not really use any of the included resort perks. However, this might have been because the desk was swamped at the time and she didn't want to fight about it.Sadly, the Hyatt Hotel chain seems like they try and do EVERYTHING possible to remove as much $$$ from you as they can. Has anyone else had issues with 3* hotels charging resort fees???
Ronnald Posted January 16, 2008 Report Posted January 16, 2008 Yes! It's a way to nickle and dime you. They don't tell you about it, until you're checking out either.
