Hotwire Hotel: 3* Half Moon Bay Holiday Inn Express

Hotwire had the Holiday Inn Express Half Moon Bay at 3 stars. I called and complained because other travel sites had this

"motor lodge" hotel at 2*. At first the Hotwire rep said that this was considered a 3* because of the area. I think this is the standard reply when people call to complain about star ratings. But after pointing out that Hotwire lists Holiday Inn Expresses as 2.5* on it's ratings guide- the Hotwire rep finally said that the hotel had been downgraded in the Hotwire system and that the hotel should have been presented at 2.5* online. They refunded $104.55 because of this mistake.

3* now but will be presented as a 2.5* in the future
