Colfax Posted December 18, 2007 Report Posted December 18, 2007 $50/2.5* rejected with counteroffer. I added Lawndale at $52 for the win. Way to go, Lawndale!Holiday Inn's best rate on 12/20 is $199; an excellent deal then, tempered by HI's $23/night parking. Parking is free at the 2.5* Courtyard Marina Del Rey I was sort of hoping for. But this should work out fine too.Bids placed through SavingsBarn.Holiday Inn Santa Monica120 Colorado AvenueSanta Monica, CA 90401

headtrip Posted December 18, 2007 Report Posted December 18, 2007 If you really want to avoid the $23 parking fee, you can check in, then parkin the public garage for $7.00 a day. It is a walk about about 1 block to the hotel.Structure 51440 4th St., 665 spacesVan accessible -Enter through alley. Open 24 hours 8am - 6pm: first 2 hours free, $1 each additional 30 minutes; $7 maximum daily; entering after 6pm: $3 flat rateSanta Monica Public Parking
Colfax Posted December 20, 2007 Author Report Posted December 20, 2007 Thanks for the parking tip, headtrip! I'll try out your garage tomorrow.
Colfax Posted December 22, 2007 Author Report Posted December 22, 2007 Parking tip worked fine, headtrip. I only paid $10 to park instead of $23 plus tip at the Holiday Inn. That $10 was $3 for overnight parking until 6am and $7 for 6am-noon. $7 is the daily max so I could have kept my car there until 6pm for the same price.
headtrip Posted December 31, 2007 Report Posted December 31, 2007 I'm glad that worked out for you. I'd much rather keep my money than spend it on parking. I have parking secrets for nearly every city....I should write a book and make some money off of it...hehehe

It's $20/night and valet only. All I saw nearby was meters and "permit only".
