3* for January 7th - January 14th for 1 adult.

Price: $59/night (Savings of 23%, originally $76.40)

Amenities: Fitness center, pool, high speed internet access, business center.

I'm new to Hotwire and this forum, so I hope I listed everything that's needed. I'm trying to pull off a rather last minute solo trip for relatively cheap and the idea of ending up in the Motel 6 that I reserved isn't that appealing.... Hope you guys can help. Thanks.

Welcome to BetterBidding!

Are the above the complete list of amenities HOTWIRE shows to be associated with this property? I'm not seeing the above on a current HOTWIRE search, but do see a similarly priced property but with more amenities assiciated with it than just the above.

Do you still see the above on a current HOTWIRE search?

This property has not yet been identified. The retail price, which is a very UNreliable method of identifying properties is pointing towards the Desert Palms, but given the unpredictability of retail prices, i don't have a lot of confidence in this guess.

If you're interested in this property, i would consider seeing if this property appears on a HOTWIRE search for your first (or last) nite of your stay, and then again for the balance of your stay. If so, you can purchase the first (or last) nite of your stay in order to 'look behind the curtain'... if you're happy with the results then proceed to purchase the balance of your stay; if not, make alternate plans for the remaining nites. Of course to do this you need to be willing to change hotel for the solo nite if you're not happy with the results.

Please use this HOTWIRE link to begin any purchases you make. If you do split the purchase as described above, please use our HOTWIRE link for each purchase (ie- click our link for the first purchase, if you're satisfied with the outcome, return here and click our HOTWIRE link again to begin your second purchase).

Let us know what you decide to do and how it goes or if we can be of further help.

I'm not set on any specific hotel, just something in the 50-60 range that would be clean and relatively close to Disneyland. There's also a 3* in Disneyland South for the same time period (Jan 7-14) with pool, laundry and high speed internet as the amenities. It's listed at $59, but has no retail price. I checked the hotwire better bidding Anaheim list, and there doesn't appear to be a direct match.

You can often win a 3* in Disneyland zone on Priceline for $40-50---less than the Hotwire prices you've found. I understand paying more on Hotwire if you know you'll get a particular hotel that you've identified and want. But if it's going to be a mystery purchase on Hotwire you can probably get a mystery hotel for less on Priceline.

DianaCanada,

Would a hotel anywhwere within Priceline's Disneyland zone close enough for you?

Yes, anywhere in that area is good. I don't have to be next to Disneyland, the friend I'm visiting just happens to live in the district. I am trying to find something that would have free parking and either free, or relatively cheap wireless internet though.

Not sure if this eliminates the possibility of you using Priceline then... something you'll have to weigh relative to the price of your other options.

Would the South zone work for you as well? What appears to be the Crowne Plaza is available for $65/nite thru HOTWIRE. Parking and internet is included in the $9/nite Resort fee (which would be additional to the $65 above... although this information differs than what is on their website so you may want to call and confirm before taking this option).

Also, i'd check EasyClickTravel which often has some good prices in this area... use our Easy Click Travel Off the Record tool to assist in their unidentified hotels.

Let us know what you find and/or your thoughts on the above and we'll take it from there.

Thereuare,

Thanks for all the help. North and South work fine for me, and the thing is, I don't need a 3*. I'm rarely going to be in the room, so I just want someplace clean to sleep in. Crowne Plaza would be stretching my budget after the resort fee, plus the anticipated extra wi-fi fee and taxes. I've done a lot of research and found the ExtendedStay hotels to have great reviews in the Anaheim area, and I've noticed on the Hotwire forums that people have gotten these a lot in the past. Now I've found on Hotwire a 2* in Disneyland North for $39/night during my stay (Jan 7-14) with laundry as the only amenity listed. From looking at past wins, to me, this could be an Extended Stay, which would be great.

However, I'm kind of terrified that it will end up being the Little Boy Blue, which from what I've read is an absolute disaster, and according to my friend who knows the area quite well, is right near the freeway in a bad stretch. Like I said, I'm fine staying in a 2* because I'm trying to do this trip as cheap as possible, but there's no way I'd be able to stay in a motel with a reputation like Little Boy Blue has.

As recently as October the Little Boy Blue was seen without any amenities, so that favors the above not being that property. Amenities can, and do change, but more telling (but still no guarantees) is that the Little Boy Blue doesn't have a laundry available for guest use (i called them... assuming the info i received is correct)... which would make the above not the LBB. :)

We can't see the name either, but based upon the above, my best guess is that this is not likely the Little Boy Blue, and if it is, and the hotel in fact does not have a Laundry available for guest use, you would have a legitimate reason to get a refund from HOTWIRE (imo).

I ended up going for the DisneyLand South hotel for 55/night. Amenities listed were: restaurant, wi-fi, fitness, business center, pool, tennis. I compared the TripAdvisor rating of 3.5 with everything on the site and assumed it was the Holiday Inn on Manchester. It was. I'm happy since parking and wi-fi are included at the Holiday Inn. Thanks so much for the help.

Congratulations on your success... glad to hear you're happy with the results.

Can you confirm that there was also a Laundry icon in addition to the amenities you've listed above. You can still view the amenities shown before your purchase by going to HOTWIRE and clicking the MY STUFF link near the top of their home page.

Thanks, enjoy your stay.

$55 for 3* with free parking and internet is a good deal in Disney zone. You're better off than you would have been winning a 3* for $45 on Priceline (which you probably could have done) with $15/night parking.

I agree with thereuare that the 2* with laundry icon was probably an Extended Stay America, not Little Boy Blue. But you can take that gamble on your next trip. Have fun!

Yes, it had a laundry icon as well. Totally forgot about that one.

Does anyone know if the Holiday Inn has a resort fee at all? Overall, I'm really happy with how it turned out. I'll definitely HOTWIRE again, as long as you have time to research, things seem like they turn out well.

Thanks so much guys.
