mcilpuf Posted December 13, 2007 Report Posted December 13, 2007 Booked this late last night:For in Dec 30 out Dec 31Started with $49, 3* for Fresno (Downtown I think) - rejectedadded Fresno West and bumped up to $54 - acceptedRadisson Hotel and Conference CenterThe only downside is that I must have somehow clicked the insurance thing (which I never do, but it was late and I was tired) so ended up paying another $5. I didn't notice until I saw the total. I swear I don't remember hitting that box, but that's what I get for only scanning everything before the final submit. Argh. Oh well, still cheaper than their online advertised price and Hotwire (where I'm not entirely sure I trust their star rating). I think the 3* on Hotwire was $69 (before taxes).Edited to add - oops, I didn't put the price in the topic line and now I can't seem to fix that, if it's needed perhaps the admin could do it or ? Sorry :)

pterrell Posted December 22, 2007 Report Posted December 22, 2007 I've always been curious about that 3* on Hotwire. Since it doesn't have a restaurant, that knocks out the Radisson, the Piccadillies, and the Four Point. Which leaves the possibility of some 1* places being passed of as 3*. Many reviewers comment on the "bad neighborhood" for the Radisson and the La Quinta. For me, it's not a problem. But the neighborhoods with the 1*s...now that's bad...And since I'm happy with either getting the Radisson, the La Quinta, or the Marriott on Priceline (and the La Quinta on Hotwire when I can't), I guess I won't be the one to find out. :)Enjoy your stay at the Radisson. If it's not too crowded, they'll put you in one of their upgraded rooms with the Sleep Number bed, which makes for a really nice sleep.
