  1. Used your PRICELINE Link Started off at $45 in Airport area for 3*, then basically added areas and dollars (I think 3 tries in total), then ended up Downtown at the Red Lion for $55. Once again, not Trip Advisors favourite hotel. I'm good with that because I know how Priceline works and obviously SLC wasn't going for less expensive rates at the time we were there. Really wanted the airport area and one of the hotels there, but again, you take what you get and this was still a good price. Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $55.00 Subtotal: $55.00 Taxes & Fees: $14.75 Total Charges*: $69.75 This time Trip Advisor wasn't as accurate and I thought the hotel was great. I didn't necessarily like the area, but there were a lot of hotels there, so it may have just been what it looked like getting there at 10pm, because in the morning it seemed fine. The rooms were very nice, imo, and the staff also great. No complaints about the Red Lion at all.
  2. Used your PRICELINE Link When I bid on this 2.5* I was hoping to get any of the others (because according to Trip advisor the 2.5*'s had better ratings than the 3's, but this one did not have a good reputation), but this is the one I ended up with. I tried to stay positive because the Holiday Inn in Missoula, MT was better than originally expected. Anyway, bid $45 on 2.5* and got Ramada Inn: Room Subtotal: $45.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $13.89 (USD) Total Room Cost: $58.89 (USD) I see it is now listed as a 2* and I do think that is a better rating for it. The lobby areas and restaurant were decent, the rooms rather scary. Originally we were put poolside and there are two doors, one to the hallway, one to the pool area. Not ideal for a mother travelling on her own with three young kids. The pool looked great, but there is a bar area there too and the music plays until 11pm. Also not great to get young kids to sleep, so we transferred rooms to a parking lot side, which was much quieter. It would have been fine if the window actually locked shut, but it didn't. We had to use some coat hangers to make sure no one could slide it open. The rooms are just find, although dated, the beds were quite comfortable. The whole place looks like it is in need of a renovation. The free breakfast was terrible. Mostly inedible. The best thing about this hotel was the fantastic and friendly staff.
  3. Used your PRICELINE Link First bid of $44 accepted Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $44.00 Subtotal: $44.00 Taxes & Fees: $14.32 Total Charges*: $58.32 Nice decent hotel, typical Courtyard
  4. Used your PRICELINE link Started this at 3* for $50 in the Destin, FL (was hoping because I was looking for 2 rooms we might catch a break) and it was a no go (although not unexpected) - they did come back with a offer if we paid $19 more ($69) we could book immediately. Since I had to wait on others before I could make that decision I had to let it go. There are no other options for rebidding in this area and we didn't have 24 hours, therefore I had to have my sister rebid for us the next morning. We bid $65 for a 3* (two rooms) and it was immediately accepted. This hotel was fantastic. Good breakfast and wonderful happy hour that included wine and beer, hot dogs, hamburgers, salads, cookies, etc., a wonderful pool for my kids to play in and best of all a very short trip to the whitest beach ever. Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $65.00 Subtotal: $260.00 Taxes & Fees: $41.84 Total Charges*: $301.84
  5. Used your PRICELINE Link After browsing the forum, this is the hotel I wanted, I got it on first bid of $49 at 3*... Cost $49.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $16.82 (USD) Total Room Cost: $65.82 (USD) It was me and my three children on a road trip to GA (from Vancouver, BC, Canada). This was the last leg and a wee break for us to actually use the pool and do more than just go right to sleep. This was a fantastic hotel with a hot buffet breakfast and great staff. Would totally stay here again.
  6. Used your HOTWIRE link Hotwire pricce $52, total with fees and taxes $62.70 Amenities: Smoke Free Rooms, Airport Shuttle, Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, High-speed Internet, Tennis nearby Thanks
  7. Using your PRICELINE link I got the Hyatt Regency in downtown Vancouver for $90 on the first try. I probably could have tried $80 or $85, but frankly $90 for downtown Vancouver at this time of year is a great price, so I'm ok with it. In July 26, out July 27th, 2009
  8. I had tried on Priceline in the Medford area as follows: 3* $50 Medford - rejected add Springfield $55 - rejected drop to 2 1/2* $60 - rejected I figured out that the $59 on Hotwire was the Holiday Inn Express by looking at the amenities: Pool, Business Centre, Fitness Centre, Breakfast, Laundry After reviewing some trip advisor reviews and not wanting to get stuck paying more money for the same hotel (since I was already at $60 on Priceline) I took the $59 on Hotwire. I'm happy with the choice. When travelling with small children I do not want to be stuck in dicey hotels. LOL I used the link through savingsbarn
  9. Booked this late last night: For in Dec 30 out Dec 31 Started with $49, 3* for Fresno (Downtown I think) - rejected added Fresno West and bumped up to $54 - accepted Radisson Hotel and Conference Center The only downside is that I must have somehow clicked the insurance thing (which I never do, but it was late and I was tired) so ended up paying another $5. I didn't notice until I saw the total. I swear I don't remember hitting that box, but that's what I get for only scanning everything before the final submit. Argh. Oh well, still cheaper than their online advertised price and Hotwire (where I'm not entirely sure I trust their star rating). I think the 3* on Hotwire was $69 (before taxes). Edited to add - oops, I didn't put the price in the topic line and now I can't seem to fix that, if it's needed perhaps the admin could do it or ? Sorry :)
  10. I bid $45 for 3* Stockton (only) - rejected Dates 12/21/07 - 12/22/07 I bid $50 for 3* Stockton plus Lathrop - rejected I bid $51 for 2 1/2* Stocton plus Lathrop - won Courtyard by Mariott - which is good because their prices on their website seem to start at $129!! Excellent savings. Now if I could only see what kind of beds they have to determine whether I need to call to request two or if that is their standard config. Looking at the Courtyard website it seems they have double/doubles or king suites with hide-a-beds, which both work for us. However, if there is only one bed in the room, that doesn't. Guess, I'll be making a call. Anyway, just found your site so thought I would add this to your list. :-)
