The lowest hotel rates for the Four Points by Sheraton in Plainview are $115 for those dates

The lowest hotel rates for the Holiday Inn in Plainview are $107 for those dates.

How much is your maximum bid? Is the Hauppauge zone an option? The Sheraton and Hyatt Wind Watch are often reported on this board.

I was hoping for a $75 max bid, it's been successful before. Hauppauge is a bit too far for us to travel as we will be spending time in the Mineola Area and traveling to Manhattan.

Have you considered SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID, staying part of your time on Long Island and part in, or closer to, Manhattan?

We would be willing to stay in Uniondale, Plainview or Roslyn, but it must be 3*.

I already used up my free rebids and will start bidding again this evening.

I have already bid successfully in MTE for 12/24-12/26. The problem is, the closer it gets to New Years Eve, the higher the hotel prices in Manhattan.

Given that you have already been rejected at $70, how high are you willing to go for a 3*? (are you keeping your maximum bid at $75)

there is the 2.5* Glen Cove Mansion and Conference Center in the Glen Cove-Oyster Bay zone, this is a decent hotel located close to the LI Sound. The main building is an old mansion, but there are several two story buildings that make up the rest of the hotel rooms. The reviews on Tripadvisor are mixed, but I would stay here again. There are no guarantees, you could always be the first to report a new win other than this property.

Glen Cove is a little further than I want to be.
