gwyne Posted December 3, 2007 Report Posted December 3, 2007 I've mistyped the offered price due to the repetitiveness, instead of sgd140, i've typed sgd240. My bidding histories will tell that I've started bidding at sgd100, till sgd135, i can't be suddenly increasing my bid to sgd240. I have drop them an email last friday and a voice message this morning asking if i could drop that successful request, and bid again. Do they take a long time to reply? It's quite hard to get to them, this thing is really urgent as I'll be travelling soon. Someone please help.

Re-bid of SG$105 in difference of SG$135 till I've actually mistyped SG$240 instead of SG$140 was accepted. Congratulations, you got your price of SG$240 for a 3-star hotel room in Los Angeles - Central L.A.Hotel Name: Sheraton Delfina Santa Monica 530 West Pico Boulevard Santa Monica, California 90405 United States310-399-9344 Zone: Santa Monica & Marina Del Rey Check-In Date: 16 December 2007 Check-In Time: After 03:00 PM Check-Out Date: 18 December 2007 Check-Out Time: 12:00 PM Your Offer Price: SG$240 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Subtotal: SG$480 Taxes: SG$67.54 Processing Fee: SG$16.50 (per offer) Total Lodging Charges: SG$564.04 i'm an idiot.
thereuare Posted December 3, 2007 Report Posted December 3, 2007 I don't think you have much recourse here as your intended bid doesn't matter very much... just the bid you placed. You entered the bid amount, you were given a confirmation screen to doublecheck, and you submitted the bid. Colfax Posted December 4, 2007 Report Posted December 4, 2007 I didn't know what currency SGD was so I looked on a currency converter site and learned that it's Singapore Dollars.1 SGD = 0.6897 US dollar and 240 SGD is about $166.Sheraton Delfina is $209 those dates so you're still saving some money.I hope you get through to Priceline but like thereuare, I doubt they'll refund. Did you use the Contact Customer Service link in your acceptance page to email? I've always gotten a response that way---an autoresponse acknowledgment within minutes and a followup reply within several hours. I don't know if customer service is different when bidding from Asia.
gwyne Posted December 4, 2007 Author Report Posted December 4, 2007 Thanks guys. I didnt want to pay that amount of $ for Sheraton, i'd rather go for Marriott Santa Monica OR Marina Del Rey for that price :) from their main website. Well... who to blame but myself.Their asia office replied me in email on the 2nd business day, stating that it's not possible that they will cancel my reservations for me to bid another. Sigh, i'm still negotiating with my fingers crossed. Their service desk leads me to a voicemail system, so in the event of emergency, how am I going to contact them. Hope everything goes well!
