Priceline Hotel: 2* Orange County (Newport-Huntington Beach) Extended StayAmerica SNA

I was picturing a cute little hotel near the ocean. I got an Extended Stay America in a business park near the airport.

This is in Newport Beach but just a couple blocks from the Irvine border.

$45 for 2.5* was rejected. $38 was my first bid for a 2*. Regular rate at extstay.com was $109.99. Hotwire had what looks like the same hotel (2* with Laundry icon) at $44.

The lobby and grounds at this hotel are the among the nicest I've seen at an ESA. The rooms are the same as ESA's everywhere, and with the same lousy soundproofing. Despite proximity to SNA I heard no plane noise. I could hear every word of conversations and TV from the room next door though, which is more aggravating to me than plane noise. :)
