Priceline Hotel: 3* Quebec Holiday Inn Select

I need your help. Who knows, which hotel the 3*** hotel in Downtown Quebec in September is? Would it be better, to get the Loews LeConcorde for 99$ at Expedia?

Which hotel could this be? For the Delta or the Hilton I would pay the price, but not for the Holiday Inn.

FYI ... the Holiday Inn Select's in Montreal/Quebec City are much much nicer than HI's anywhere else... unusually amazing actually. Personally, I'd jump on the Loew's at that price.... or, bid about $45-$55 for the Holiday Inn on Priceline.

Be careful though... You're running a pretty big "risk" of getting the Delta if you bid 3* in Downtown.

I decided to bid on priceline and hoped, that the risk of getting the delta will become true. But now I got the HOLIDAY INN for 62$ + tax = 74,25 $ total :) .

The comments on tripadvisor about the hotel aren`t very good :) - but it seems to be a clean hotel. So I hope thesqueegeekid is right, that the HI ist amazing. I only was wondering about comments on tripadvisor, that the area around the hotel is scarry with beggars etc. As we had a bad experience with the BestWestern Americana in San Francisco (very scary area as well), I hope in quebec it will be different.

Is it really such a long way to old quebec? Some people write that it`s about a kilometer and say that this is long. If this is true, than it`s really no problem. Each day I walk about 1,5 kilometers in downtown munich to my office, so that`s really not a big distance.

As we are only one night in quebec, the hotel isn`t any problem. Do you have any hints on dinning in the area of the hotel?

Got the Holiday Inn for 62$ + tax = 74 $. On Hotwire the price was about 73 $, as I think it`s the same hotel there.

Although the comments on tripadvisor aren`t very good, I think we can live with this for one night :) .

Maybe the bid was too early, but now we have all hotels for our trip to the States / Canada and just have to wait till September.
