Hotwire Hotel: 3* Oakland-Eastbay (Airport OAK) Holiday Inn Express

I haven't used the Hotwire approach before but wanted to be more sure of getting the Hilton. I hadn't seen this hotel included on the pinned list. Amenities = airport shuttle, complimentary breakfast, fitness center, business center, laundry, and hi-speed internet access. We'll see how it works out. Could have gotten the Hilton for $140/night by direct reservation, so didn't save too much.

Darn! I just checked this hotel online and find that the government rate is available here for $111 / night! Do I have any recourse?

The amenities above don't match what has previously been reported for the Hilton (nor do i think the Hilton offers a complimentary breakfast) so that could have been a tip that you were not likely seeing the Hilton.

If you see a property that you're unsure of in the future feel free to ask for help before your purchase.

HOTWIRE does offer a "Double the Difference Guarantee" but it doesn't apply 'membership rates' (such as government rates)... so unless you can find a rate, available to the general public, for less than $115 i don't think you have any recourse.
