Priceline Hotel: 3* Detroit Suburbs (Auburn Hills-Pontiac) Hilton Suites

Was upgraded to 3* when I placed a 2.5* at $43.00.

This was a surpised as typically I have won bids at The Hyatt Place when bidding this area. Another poster won Residence Inn just a few days ago which was a 2.5* bid. So I was thinking perhaps, that would be the property I would get this time around. But nope, priceline likes to keep us guessing. :) So now we will be trying out the Hilton Suites. I believe I stayed there a few years back, but don't recall details. I'll report back on the stay.

From the other thread, it didn't sound as if you were too interested in the Residence Inn, so i'm glad to see that you didn't receive that property and are happy with the hotel you did receive (and the upgrade).

It is true, that I was at first disappointed that Residence Inn was tossed in the 2.5* for this bidding area as The Hyatt Place was such a dream place to stay and typically was the winning bid. BUT after checking out Residence Inn Aurburn area property on trip advisor and other reviews, it also sounded like a great place to stay. (the word CLEAN and FRIENDLY kept coming up... heehehe those are two words I like to read when looking at reviews of places that might be a winning bid)

Once again, Thereuare, thanks for keeping this board updated and current. I was not sure how to post the subject with it being an upgraded bid. I love the fact you edit to make things consistent and easy for us to use this forum. You are one heck of a moderator and web-board master.
