dc3 Posted October 26, 2007 Report Posted October 26, 2007 amenity symbols: breakfast and internet. $72 for 3* looked reasonable for London. But this is at the southwest corner of the zone - far from where you want to be - and the price is the same on the Best Western site without the fee to Hotwire. Priceline divides London into Central and South. Hotwire doesn't and this beyond both- but only for one night. Tried Priceline at both zones and from 3* to 2* without success. Stay away from Hotwire in London. The problem is there is nothing on the BB site for London so I had no guidance. Now there is.
thereuare Posted October 26, 2007 Report Posted October 26, 2007 Thanks for the post and addition to the Hotwire Hotel List.Sorry to hear you're not happy with the results. If there is a property you're not sure of feel free to ask the board for help before your purchase as we can often help in figuring it out our at least taking a few educated guesses. Can you please add a reply with the date of your stay so that this property can be included in the Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
dc3 Posted October 26, 2007 Author Report Posted October 26, 2007 Oct 29 - one night. The problems with this place are that it is not really in London and that the price is actually a bit more than on the Best Western web site if you add in the Hotwire fee. This place would be 2* on Priceline at most since it lacks the necessary facilities - other Best Westerns are 2*. That would be obvious from the amenities. There are too many similar properties to deduce this one in advance. Bottom line: don't use Hotwire for London.
