owreck Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 Started out with MoA/Airport at 42 for a 2.5* shooting for the Bloomington Holiday Inn. Denied.Denied at 45 after adding BurnsvilleDenied at 50 after adding Minneapoolis SWDenied at 55 after adding DT MinneapolisAccepted at 60 after adding EaganBad time to bid I guess.Hotel is a typical Holiday Inn. Ok restaurant downstairs. NO WIRELESS. TV has horrible reception, and up on the 5th floor my water pressure takes a dive during peak times. Elevators are suprisingly efficient though.
Colfax Posted October 26, 2007 Report Posted October 26, 2007 NO WIRELESS.The hotel's website says the rooms have wireless. Not true?
owreck Posted October 26, 2007 Author Report Posted October 26, 2007 It is being worked on, but not yet available. Rooms are hardwired. If you want to work while relaxing on the bed you'll need a 6 to 8 foot network cable.

Colfax Posted October 26, 2007 Report Posted October 26, 2007 Last week I was in Portland, OR and I stayed at three different hotels where the "free highspeed wireless" didn't work. Twice it was due to the location of my room within the hotel (but I didn't want to move because the room had other advantages) and once the network was down for the whole hotel. I find wired internet more reliable than wireless. But I don't ever use my laptop in bed and a short cord is enough for me.
