m4travels Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 First post so please bear with me (do we all say that?):Hotwire listed: Shuttle, Fitness, Pool, Dining, Business, and High Speed InternetBased on past wins I hoped for the Hyatt MCO, but it turned into Sheraton Suites. I can deal with that. Life is still good. However what surprised me was that with the taxes, etc it totaled to $111.61. The addition of taxes is not what's concerning me because, yes, most of us pay them, however I went to the Sheraton site and with their base price of $99 (that did surprise me!) that I could have just booked through them (Internet rate) the total was actually $111.38. This is actually the first time I've come up paying more when going through Hotwire than booking directly with the hotel. Also, you might want to update the star rating for the Orlando Sheraton Suites to a 3.5 as it was listed as a 3* in the hotel listings. As I said, life is still good, but any thoughts on the conundrum of paying more via Hotwire? Thanks!Michael
thereuare Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 Welcome to BetterBidding! Thanks for the update to the Hotwire Hotel List... we have noted this upgrade in the list and also commented that it looks similar to the Hyatt. There may have been some tip-offs that this wasn't the Hyatt... feel free to ask for help next time before you make your purchase.Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
billyblaze Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 Would the "tip off" have anything to do with the tripadvisor rating listed in the hotwire description?
