I bid this the night before. If $40/2* was rejected I planned to stay at Sioux Falls Motel 6 for $39.99. I ended up winning this Kelly Inn almost next door to the Motel 6.

For my one cent more (plus Priceline fee) I got some amenities Motel 6 doesn't offer---a king sized bed, highspeed internet, a recliner chair, 60+ TV channels, and free breakfast. Kelly Inn was better than a Motel 6 but it's still an older property (1960's?) and lacking the polish of other 2* national chains like Fairfield Inn or Hampton. Although my stay was comfortable and without incident I'd call it a low end 2*. I was fine with the place but I wouldn't send my sister there.

Enjoyed a tasty meatloaf sandwich at the Rolling Pin Restaurant next door to the hotel.
