Hotwire Hotel: Binghamton 1*

Please help to ID the following hotel in Binghamton NY:

1-star hotel in Binghamton - Endicott

Amenities:

- Complimentar breakfast

- Business Center

the rate for the dates 07/12/08-07/15/08 is 68$

Is there something happening in Binghamton for these dates that you're willing to consider a 1* hotel for $68/nite? Is this really a legitimate option?

Not really, it's just that I usually go to the Hampton Inn in Binghamton and rates are about 130$/night. As Hampton Inn is rated as 2* I was wondering if I could get some saveings by going to a hotel of similar category.

a 1* in Binghamton could end up being an Econo Lodge, Howard Johnson's, Super 8. There is also a former Ramada Inn that is pretty scary as well. Just a bit west of Binghamton is the Johnson City zone and I've won the 2* LaQuinta Inn twice through Priceline. There are no guarantees, and there could always be a new 2* hotel in this zone. Its a pretty decent hotel, and recently refurbished, I would stay there again. That said, using Priceline or Hotwire in some of the smaller towns such as Binghamton don't provide the deep discounts that you might see in a larger metro area.

Thanks for your help!! I think I will end up booking Hampton Inn in Vestal, and considering the euro/dollar exchange rate it won't be as expensive. You know, the only thing that bothers me about this hotel is the lack of offers for advanced bookings.
