Priceline Hotel: 2.5* Minneapolis-St Paul (Airport MSP-MofA) Holiday Inn Bloomington

This is the Holiday Inn on 94th Street. There are a half dozen newer and nicer 2.5* hotels in the zone but this is the 2.5* hotel I win over and over, going back years.

$40 for 2.5* brought a $12 counteroffer. I added Fridley at $42 for the win. Holiday Inn's regular rate was $129 for these nights.

Hotwire had a 3* in Bloomington Central at $56 and a 2.5* for $109.

When I checked in at 1pm there was a dirty plate with a fork on it on the floor outside my door. When I checked out 48 hours later the plate and fork were still there.

This is a tired and worn down hotel. The carpets in the hallways are dirty and threadbare. A lamp in my room didn't work. The casing over the wall heater had fallen off. The sink didn't hold water for shaving. Those things would disturb me at another hotel but for some reason I don't mind them at this Holiday Inn. It's what I've come to expect from the place. The staff is friendly and efficient, the beds are comfortable, the Internet works, and I enjoy that Green Mill restaurant/bar in the lobby.
