tylersmom
I am wanting to try Priceline for an upcoming trip but I'm traveling with 3 friends. Will we be given the choice of 2 double beds per room? Or are there chances we will just get a king/single room?I am getting excited about trying this for my upcoming trip after reading all the successful wins!! :) Link to comment
dahammer
what are the dates of travel and the bidding zones that you are considering? Link to comment
tylersmom
I'm looking at 11/7 - 11/11 Houston (Galleria)TIA Link to comment
thereuare
Priceline only guarantees double occupancy, after that it's at the discretion of the hotel. There is a chance that you could receive a room with only one bed. If you need to ensure a room that will accomodate all of you HOTWIRE may be a better option as it allows you to search for up to quad occupancy (and you are guaranteed the room will accomodate everyone included on your search). You can search HOTWIRE (for quad occupancy) and see if anything appears within your price range or you can 'take the chance' and go with priceline (or decide to bid for 2 rooms).See the related link in our PRICELINE FAQ for further info on this subject.Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we will advise accordingly. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
tylersmom
I started at $50 with just the Galleria and have worked my way up to $70 by adding 7 different areas with no such luck. I don't want to go much over $70 since I can get a 4* off HOTWIRE for $76 a night. Any suggestions??TIA Link to comment
thereuare
Have you made an ID on the likely outcome of the HOTWIRE purchase? Each service uses their own star rating system, so you may not be comparing apples-to-apples (ie- the HOTWIRE 4* could be a 3* on priceline) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
tylersmom
Hi, I've been watching hotels in Houston Galleria for 11/7 - 11/11. I haven't noticed much change and it seems the same two hotels are always there. The 4* has Suites, Fitness, Pool, Resturant, Business and High speed internet. I'm guessing this is the Sheraton from previous posts. Can any confirm? The 3* has Fitness, Pool, Resturant, High speed internet, Laundry and Business center. I'm thinking Holiday Inn?? Thanks in advance!L Link to comment
tylersmom
Did I get moved to the Priceline forum for any particular reason? I thought the Priceline and Hotwire forums were seperate?? Link to comment
thereuare
Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread. If you ultimatley use HOTWIRE we'l then move the entire thread to that section of the board.I'd agree with your guesses above. Please use this HOTWIRE link to begin any purchases you make.Let us know what you decdide and how it goes or if we can be of further help.
