My $125 for 10/14-10/17 BH was rejected. Wondering if someone can suggest a strategy for rebid - I don't want to change area or stars....

Given Lyman's win for a subset of your own stay, is SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID an option?

If so, how much would you need to save to make that worthwhile?

For such a short trip, I'd rather not move hotels. So maybe I should just keep bidding at a higher rate in the same area? Should I add a zone where there are no 4*s?

At the 4* level you have 5 re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.

I'd proceed as follows:

Select 4* BH...

Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone... (<--already bid today, so start with next line)

Bid $130, if rejected add re-bid zone

Bid $135, if rejected add re-bid zone

Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone

Bid $145, if rejected add re-bid zone

Bid $150.

That's pretty much the strategy I used, only I started a little lower.

Well, I just did 5 rebids going all the way up to $170 and got turned down. I think that its likely that splitting up into two bids might be my next option. I'm guessing that one of my nights is probably booked solid and screwing up the rest of the bid.

Select 4* BH...

Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $130, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $135, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $145.

For the following date combinations:

10/14-10/17 (if still within 24 hours since your last bid then skip this date)

10/14-10/16

10/15-10/17

Let us know if bidding for the partial dates changes the outcome.

Changing the dates worked like a charm. Got the Mondrian for $125 a night from 10/14-10/16
