vayla Posted September 30, 2007 Report Posted September 30, 2007 We stayed here on 9/28/07 and 9/29/07 on a bid of $65/night. This hotel is a pretty nice Best Western, and its location in North Tucson is convenient to a lot of things (Wild Oats grocery store, Trader Joes grocery store, a number of restaurants on Oracle Road).PROS -- large room, recently renovated, comfortable bed, nice sheets and pillow, decent shower, effective individual air conditioning unit, free in-room wired high-speed internet access, good TV with lots of cable channels (including my wife's favorite, TCM).CONS -- the hotel is sort of a miniature resort, with a courtyard containing a small pool, hot tub, gas grills for the use of the guests, and a small restaurant (where free breakfast and free social hour snacks are served). It is pleasant enough, but attracts some boisterous guests who were up late partying during our stay. Our room faced the courtyard, so it was fairly noisy during the night, and the walls seemed thin too. If you want a quiet room, I might ask for a room facing away from the courtyard. There were some broken liquor bottles on the sidewalk and in the parking lot, some of which were cleaned up at some point the next day.Overall, we've stayed in nicer places, but this was a perfectly acceptable motel.
