Priceline Hotel: 2.5* Chattanooga (Downtown) Holiday Inn Choo Choo

How much do you think a PL could be had for 1 night 9/28 for at least a 2.5*?

These are the internet current prices. Seems high.

3* Marriott at the Convention Center $149

3* Sheraton Read House $149

2.5* Holiday Inn $122.55 (this is for the Choo Choo H.I. Not sure if it's the one on PL).

Historically the 3* hotels in this area have been won in the $60's... HOTWIRE has a 3* (presumably the Holiday Inn?) for $59, so you could probably do better than that for a 2.5* on Priceline. If you let us know your maximum bid we'll suggest a strategy to follow.

The HI on the BB hotel list is a 2.5*. Which HI (if it is) would the 3* on HW be? Or is it the same one?

BTW, is this HI in the BB hotel list the Choo Choo location or not?

Guess my max is $60. Please suggest a strategy.

I'm assuming you're looking at Downtown...

At the 2.5* level you have two re-bid zones available. I'd try as follows:

Select 2.5* Downtown...

Bid $40, if rejected add re-bid zone1...

Bid $45, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.

Select 2.5* Downtown and re-bid zone2...

Bid $50, if rejected add re-bid zone1...

Bid $55

Seemed like you were going to bid on Priceline regardless, and since this wouldn't affect your bidding, didn't see the use of searching for it :)

No, that's the only one I could find, but figured it would say choo choo in BB's hotel list if it was.

Same one (afaik)... each service uses their own criteria to rate hotels.

HOTWIRE often rates hotels a little higher than priceline, although it is much less common than it was previously.

$45 accepted for 2.5* Holiday Inn Chattanooga Choo Choo, Downtown.

FYI, after I bid $40, I got an offer to rebid $12 higher. Surprised less than half that was accepted.
