Just returned from my stay at the Holiday Inn Hobby Airport, and it really was a steal for the price paid. It's a solid 3* property, newly renovated, very clean and spacious rooms and a nice pool area outside. The beds were very comfy, and housekeeping did a great job.

The neighborhood is not the best one, it's close to Hobby Airport and there are many nude bars around. You definitely need a car to get around - however, if you have one, you can hit I-45 within 3 minutes and Kemah is just 25 minutes away. There was no noticable airport noise in the rooms.

Altogether, this is a rock solid 3* that is well worth a price of $60-$70 per night. I doubt that the Courtyard or the Marriott would be any better than this property.

Regards - Dennis

I have stayed this hotel two or three days per a week last four or five weeks.

The range I got is $50 to $55 depending on the number of rooms and the days to stay.

More rooms or longer stay is accepted at $50, but one or two nights only one room usually $55.

I totally agree it is 3star level. You will enjoy to stay this hotel.

I just stayed and the Holiday Inn Hobby Airport for four nights (Feb. 4 thru 8 2009) and it was a great stay. The hotel is remodeling each floor but they are only placing customers on the floors that have been remodeled. No noticeable noise of construction or airplanes. I felt very safe and secure in the area and never noticed any nude establishments. Of course, I'm a female and wouldn't be looking for them anyway.

I didn't dine at the hotel so I can't rate the food, but the staff was nice. I used the business office and realized that the computers needed some upgrading for faster speed. It was better than dial-up but not as good as today's computers. I enjoyed the flat screen TV's in the lobby while waiting for my husband to get checked in.

Yes, I'd recommend this hotel to anyone. It's good for couples or families.

The price was just right of $59/per night. Definitely a 3* hotel experience!!! :)
