dahammer
I did a HOTWIRE search for this area and a 2.5* with Suite, Breakfast, Fitness, Kitchenette amenities appeared for $87. I thought this might be the Amerisuites, so I figured I could do better with Priceline. I accessed the PL site through Savingsbarn.com and opened my bid at the 2.5* level at $65. Got the message that there was almost no chance of this price being accepted, which I ignored. Your Offer Price: $65.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $17.84 Total Charges: $82.84 Haven't stayed here in awhile, but next to the Jersey City zone, this is probably one of the best areas with easy access to Manhattan. The NJ transit bus stops practically in front of the hotel and with free parking, free wifi, and free breakfast, its a great value. The property is in the Mill Creek development with many chain restaurants nearby and a small shopping center with a Kohls, Wal Mart, Sam's Club and a Stop and Shop supermarket. All of the rooms have been completely renovated and in about a week or so, this property will be re-badged as a Hyatt Place. Conventional rates are $209 per night. The room is set up like a junior suite with a large sofa with a pull out bed, a small refrigerator and wet bar, desk with no phone but an outlet for wired high speed internet, 42" High Definition TV, and a King bed.
