athtrasna Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 We're hoping to do a night in Girdwood as part of a multi-stop trip in the US. So I was delighted to see the Aleyska prince on the priceline list - anyone know how likely I am to find it, or at what rate? Hotel's own site says $400 a night
thereuare Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 Not surprisling we don't see a lot of bidding in this zone... so while this is the only 4* hotel reported in this zone, there could be others. Can't say the odds of you receiving it, or some other property are... or at what price it would take. When would this stay take place? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
earlthepearlferrell Posted August 28, 2007 Report Posted August 28, 2007 I am actually looking for the same hotel (for next July). Unfortunately, I got the message that the name your own price feature is not available in this area. It used to be--people have won it. Perhaps they pulled out of their agreement with Priceline.
athtrasna Posted August 28, 2007 Author Report Posted August 28, 2007 We're looking at staying the night of September 24th, we only have 4 nights in Alaska, 2 in Anchorage (1 already booked - the other probably at the airport and a HOTWIRE job) and 1 in Seward (booked).
thereuare Posted August 28, 2007 Report Posted August 28, 2007 If priceline no longer offers bidding in this area.. are the HOTWIRE zones any closer? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
athtrasna Posted August 29, 2007 Author Report Posted August 29, 2007 Hotwire does Anchorage and the airport... The Aleyska Prince is in Girdwood, 30 miles out. Will keep looking at other sites, unfortunately a lot of the travel sites don't cover this area.
