blkjck1 Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 Did some initial research on Hotwire to get an idea of what to bid, and saw that Hotwire was offering a 4* hotel in Edmonton at $94. Went back to Priceline, and was rejected at $69 and $73. On the second rebid, we got the following:The Westin Edmonton 10135 100th Street Edmonton, Alberta T5J 0N7 Check-In Date: Sat, Sep 22, 2007Check-Out Date: Sun, Sep 23, 2007Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: US$76.00 Subtotal: US$76.00 Taxes & Service Fees: US$16.66 Total Charges: US$92.66 After converting the cost back to Canadian dollars, the all-in cost of the room is about $98 CAD. The Westin website's lowest all-in price was $143.29 ($129 + taxes). Nice to save about 40% when all was said and done. Booked through the links at savingsbarn.com. Proud to be Canadian!
