12333 Posted August 24, 2007 Author Report Posted August 24, 2007 I started $ 150 and gor the following messageWe searched hundreds of options to find your hotel room, however we can't accept your offer of $150 per room, per night. Your credit card has not been charged for Request Number xxx-xxx-xxx-xx. If you are willing to raise your price by $25, you can try the same request again right now. Normally you are required to change additional items (add zones, star level, or dates) in order to try your request again. However we are able to extend this one-time opportunity to you because of the zone, quality level and dates you requested. should I proceed with $25 increase?
dahammer Posted August 24, 2007 Report Posted August 24, 2007 you just received a counteroffer, you can proceed with adding the $25 or you might want to undercut the counteroffer. Many times you can increase your bid by as little as $5 and win the bid. You will have to close your browser and re-access priceline as you did previously, you will need to add a "rebid" zone to your original zone. Take a look at this thread Priceline rebidding explained to figure out your rebid zones.
thereuare Posted August 24, 2007 Report Posted August 24, 2007 Welcome to BetterBidding!Did you bid the Downtown zone seeking a hotel in SoHo? If so, note that the zone is much larger than just the SoHo area, and there is a chance (a very good chance that you will receive a hotel in Downtown (near Battery Park) rather than in SoHo)... is this area acceptable to you?Let us know if you're comfortable receiving a hotel anywhere in the Downtown zone and if this is the only zone you included in your bid above, we'll then be able to advise better as to how to proceed. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
