This hotel has gone from the Point Loma zone to the Coastal zone and at last report, in May 2007, it was back in the Point Loma zone again. Per your report now it's back in Coastal. Make up your mind, Priceline! :)

genew1---can you confirm that you didn't include the Point Loma zone with your accepted bid?

I just looked at Priceline's zone maps and the boundaries for these two zone don't look to me like they've changed. The HI is very near the border of the two zones but by my reading the HI is still inside the Point Loma zone, just barely. (The Priceline zone maps are drawn ambiguously with major street names omitted so I'm not 100% confident of that.)

A lot of people don't like the location of this Holiday Inn. If it's moved back into Coastal zone that will discourage some bidders from trying for a 3* in Coastal.

I did not bid on the Coastal zone, I bid 3* for Downtown & Shelter Is., Old town. Coastal was not my choice. Gene
