Ended up ordering a room at the Donatello through a regular netbased ordering service, at around $160.

I am looking at the same area/level for the 16-18th Sept, and have been bombing out all week. But I have been told that the hotels are more likely to accept bids closer to the time. I did get 2 days at the Hyatt in the first week of September for $90+.
