westie Posted July 27, 2007 Report Posted July 27, 2007 Bid up to $68, rejected.Priceline had offered Hyatt for those days @ $139.I tried to offer half of that.Would really like to stay @ the Hyatt for those nights, so will try again tomorrow.Still have to hunt for July 30, 31, and August 1.I fly into SFO on July 30, but I don?t have to be in Palo Alto before August 2.SF Union Square won?t be any cheaper, plus no parking...otherwise I could stay in SF.
Colfax Posted July 27, 2007 Report Posted July 27, 2007 To summarize from another thread, westie won five nights at the Hyatt Santa Clara at $50. She tried Add a Night for three nights more and Priceline counteroffered with $135.westie, You said you tried to meet Priceline's counteroffer halfway at $68, but halfway between $50 and $135 is about $93, not $68.Since you got a counteroffer Priceline has the Hyatt available at some price. They don't give a counteroffer if there's no Priceline availability. I think it could take $80 or more though. When your 24 hour lockout is over you can bid from $70 to higher if you want. Remember you could win the 4* Hilton too.If you don't want to go higher than $68 we can talk about some other possibilities at $68 or less tomorrow.
