technotica Posted July 26, 2007 Report Posted July 26, 2007 I know I'm shooting for the moon here for asking for a 4* for under $100 but I've at least got to try. :) Looking to stay outside the downtown area but want to stay in the Beverly Hills/Hollywood/Santa Monica area. Tomorrow I'll start trying for 3*.Synopsis so far:Yesterday$60 - Beverly Hills - rejected$65 - Added Santa Monica - rejected$70 - Added Redondo - rejectedToday$75 - Beverly Hills - rejected$80 - Added Hollywood - rejected$85 - Added Santa Monica - rejected$90 - Added Redondo - rejectedAny advice on where and a pricing strategy for bidding on 3* when I start again tomorrow?
Colfax Posted July 26, 2007 Report Posted July 26, 2007 Is your limit for a 4* $90 or $100?Sometimes people win 4*'s for a few dollars more than you've bid, like $95 or $98.
thereuare Posted July 26, 2007 Report Posted July 26, 2007 Is $90 your maximum bid as it doesn't appear that you're using the full amount of re-bid zones at the 4* level? If you don't want to bid higher for a 4*... what is your maximum bid at the 3* level? technotica Posted July 26, 2007 Author Report Posted July 26, 2007 I'll go as high as $100 for a 4* and no more than $80 for a 3*. I realize I wasn't getting in all my free rebid zones, but I was tired last night so my brain was having issues functioning.
thereuare Posted July 26, 2007 Report Posted July 26, 2007 You have five re-bid zones at the 4* level... only one at the 3* level. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 4* Beverly Hills and Hollywood and one re-bid zone (which you didn't bid above already today)...Bid $92, if rejected add re-bid zone (doesn't matter now if same as above or not)...Bid $94, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $96, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $98, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $100.If the above is rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 3* Beverly Hills...Bid $55, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $60, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did preivously.Select 3* Hollywood...Bid $55, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $60, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did preivously.Select 3* Santa Monica...Bid $55, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $60, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did preivously.Select 3* Beverly Hills and Hollywood...Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $70, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did preivously.Select 3* Beverly Hills and Santa Monica...Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $70, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did preivously.Select 3* Beverly Hills and Hollywood and Santa Monica...Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $80.Any questiosn feel free to ask.Good Luck and let us know how it goes.
