Priceline Hotel: Santa Barbara?

Seems like Santa Barbara seems to be a tough spot to grap something from priceline. Ive been looking back through the boards and I dont really see many post regarding wins in Santa barbara? anyone with any luck of late????? Thanks

It is a tough priceline, but you can also easily use the SEARCH FUNCTION of the board.

Click the previous link, search for "barbara" (without the quotes) and then on the bottom right of the search form select "Search Titles Only"... this will create a temporary forum of anything which has "barbara" in the title, which all Santa Barbara wins would have (and nothing else that i can think of would be included).

Santa Barbara has always been tough on Priceline. If you're looking for weekend dates during summer you can almost forget about it. Priceline is selling excess inventory and most weekends there's just not any excess.

Also until a few months ago Priceline only offered 2* bidding in Santa Barbara. Most visitors to Santa Barbara are looking for something higher than 2* so there just was never much bidding.

Priceline is now offering 2.5* in SB though. The hotel hasn't been identified yet.

Tried and failed for another 3 Star--bid up to 115! Prices were about $200 a night! makes me think even though they let you bid it that there are no 3 Star Hotels to win on Priceline! still have never seen a post claiming a win! Was even trying for midweek--Tuesday night 9/30-10/1! oh well
