I'm looking for help identifying a 3 star hotel in the Great Neck-Roslyn Area of Long Island. I'm going out there from September 13-18th. This hotel option shows up on the Priceline Bidding area.

welcome to BetterBidding!

although no properties in this zone have been reported, this may be the Inn at Great Neck or possibly the Roslyn Claremont Hotel.

The adjacent zone (Glen Cove - Oyster Bay) has had several wins for the 2.5* Glen Cove Harrison Conference Center (previously ranked 3*). I had stayed here about a year ago and it was fine.

I've checked the Websites for most if not all of the Hotels in this area, and they all are filled on the weekend of September 15th. However Priceline will allow me to bid for a three star in this area over that weekend. Do you know why? Does the Priceline "Name Your Own Price" area have a unique set of reservations assigned only to them?

Welcome to BetterBidding!

When Priceline shows you the star ratings you can bid in a given area, they have done no checking in regards to availability. If they have a contract for a 3* hotel in the area, then you can select that star rating and bid, even if the hotel is sold-out and/or offered no inventory to priceline for your particular date.

What is your maximum budget and minimum star rating for this trip?
