Hunnypot4pooh Posted June 16, 2007 Report Posted June 16, 2007 $35 Downtown only$40 Downtown plus S. Natomas$42 Downtown only$45 Downtown plus S. NatomasI am bidding on a 2.5 star room (must have pool!). No luck so far. I will try again Sunday morning...
Colfax Posted June 16, 2007 Report Posted June 16, 2007 Both reported 2.5* hotels Downtown (the Clarion and Hawthorn Suites) have an outdoor pool, so you ought to be allrite in that regard.Clarion is $116.99 and Hawthorn $129 on your Monday. Even though those rates aren't high I think you're bidding too low at $45, especially since your stay is two days away. The $45 reported recently reported Downtown was for a weekend and weekdays in Sacramento usually cost more.Since you'll only have one more bidding opportunity before Monday, when your 24 hours are up I suggest trying $55 for a 2.5* Downtown. If that fails close your browser and start a new bid of $55 for a 2.5* in South Natomas. (I presume South Natomas is okay with you too, since you bid it.) Then add Downtown and bid $65 (or whatever you consider your bidding limit, since that will be your last chance to bid before Monday.)Another option is to try for a 2* Downtown. If anything comes up it will probably be the La Quinta, which has a pool. (No guarantee on that, of course.) I would try $46 for a 2*. Don't bid for a 2* in South Natomas as the 2* Homestead there doesn't have a pool.
