dahammer
had a reservation at the Hampton Inn, Carlstadt @ $149, a nice property, but thought I could do some betterbidding and get a little closer to NYC... :) Many hotels were sold out, the exception being the Econo-Lodge and Howard Johnson's on Tonnele Avenue in Jersey City :) both had rooms available. Rejected bids included $121 in Jersey City at the 3* level, $110 in EWR at the 3* level, $115 in Meadowlands-Rutherford. I wasn't keeping track of my rebid zones and added Secaucus-North Bergen for the first time and bid $110, success!Your Offer Price: $110.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $25.53 Total Charges: $135.53 No bidders remorse here, the hotel is sold out for tonight and the typical rate during the week is $199. Priority Club members get free admission to the Executive Level for an evening reception and free continental breakfast on the 14th floor where even on a cloudy day, you can see the Manhattan skyline. Parking is free and so is the Wifi. The location of this hotel is great for quick bus access to NYC, about a block away is a stop for the Route 124 bus and its a 25 minute ride into the Port Authority Bus Terminal; the fare is $2.55 for adults and $1.15 for seniors and children.made my bids through savingsbarn.com Link to comment
