vayla Posted June 11, 2007 Report Posted June 11, 2007 Stayed here on 6/10/07 for $70. I believe this hotel has been in continuous operation since 1891 (seriously). The location is excellent -- about two blocks from the Copley T stop. This is an old and somewhat charming hotel, but it is worn down and hardly qualifies as a 3* hotel. The staff was professional but not particularly friendly. Our room was small and worn. Our bathroom was small and had wall-mounted soap dispensers for the sink and shower -- convenient, but tacky. The shower had some signs of mold, but overall the room was reasonably clean. An adequate hotel, but no place you want to spend much time hanging around. There are three restaurants on the first floor of the hotel -- one called "Domini" and two others. We did not try any of them. The hotel does have free wifi. Valet parking is $37/night.
