RLO Posted May 25, 2007 Report Posted May 25, 2007 Hey all!I need help finding a good price on Hotels on the Strip!I dont need a 5 star hotel but! I do want to stay somplace near the action. My budget is about $350 max for the weekend.I plan on bringing a large group with me.. do you think i can get deals on group discounts?I would like to focus on the one room though. I have used some of your great tools and most of the hotels are about 25o a night!..Please Help... And do you think it is a good time to look for hotels now.. or would I have a better chance booking in august?
thereuare Posted May 25, 2007 Report Posted May 25, 2007 Welcome to BetterBidding! What is the minimum star rating you're willing to accept?Just how many rooms will you be needing? Do note that in Vegas many hotels have begun to charge outrageous (imo) fees for each additional person in the room over double occupancy ($15-$30/pp per nite... so declaring quad occupancy can increase your room rate by as much as $60/nite :) )Let us know the above and we'll be i a better position to assist. RLO Posted May 26, 2007 Author Report Posted May 26, 2007 3 star or better. And no I wont be listing occupancy!
RLO Posted May 26, 2007 Author Report Posted May 26, 2007 My max is 130 pernight. Sep 14-16th3 stars and upOn the strip!
thereuare Posted May 26, 2007 Report Posted May 26, 2007 My budget is about $350 max for the weekendMy max is 130 pernight.I don't think your budget is enough...If you try priceline for a 3* hotel you can end up in an area which is technically on the strip but not in the 'heart of the action' which you say is what you're looking for.You can get a deal thru HOTWIRE and take an educated guess as the hotel's ID and determine if it's a good lcoation, but even everything there is over your budget (both budgets :) ).EasyClickTravel is often a great option in Vegas, but nothing there within your price range either. If you're firm on your budget i'd book the Imperial Palace for $123/nite as that may be your best bet. RLO Posted May 28, 2007 Author Report Posted May 28, 2007 ok i understand What about a $175 budget.. does that open the door?
thereuare Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 Since you don't want the Westin, priceline isn't an option. If you search HOTWIRE all the 4* properties on the strip are over your budget (there is a 3.5* on HOTWIRE just within your budget) as well as the hotels thru EasyClickTravel.I think you'll either need to lower your star quality or raise your budget a bit more if you are set on a 4* property. thereuare Posted May 31, 2007 Report Posted May 31, 2007 Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread. Can you tell me a little abouto the westin. Is it really out of the way? Especially if you would like to be on the stripSome people are fine with it while others aren't... see our Priceline Las Vegas Map to get a guage of distances between this property and the strip. (you can also use a mapping program (google, mapquest, etc) and enter the address of the Westin as well as another point on the strip and see the actual milage distance.I think part of the downside of the Westin for some is that it also lacks any theme or 'fanfare' which the mega-resorts on the strip have (although some may see this as a plus... once again, opinions differ). The 5* hotel you describe above is a match for the Venetian, so that would be our best guess (although the Wynn has not yet been reported to the board but believed to be 'out there' as a possiblity as well). Please use this HOTWIRE link to begin any purchases you make.
