Paid $34/night for three nights at this hotel, for a weekend visit to Pittsburgh. The location in Green Tree is right off the freeway, and very close to downtown (about 5 miles) as long as you have a car. There is a Starbucks, Olive Garden, and Einstein's Bagels (among other restaurants) a short drive across the freeway from the hotel. The hotel also has its own pizza restaurant and bar adjacent to the lobby (we did not try it).

The hotel is very large, with several adjoining multistory buildings, all connected in a confusing fashion. The hotel is not new, but it is well maintained, and our room was large and comfortable. Beds were comfortable, there was a desk and an easy chair. There was free wired high-speed internet access, and toll-free telephone calls were free -- local calls were 75 cents. The hotel seemed to be near full capacity when we were there, so parking was at a premium, but the hotel has several large parking lots.

We tried a restaurant called The Double Wide Grill, located at 24th and E. Carson St., for brunch, and really liked it. It is located in a former gas station, and they did a tremendous job of carrying through on the gas station theme with some great gas station memorabilia. The food was much better than we expected from a "theme restaurant."
