Hotwire Hotel: 4.5* Maui (Kaanapali) Hyatt Regency

:) We were thrilled to score the Hyatt in Maui for only $205 a night!!!

We've stayed there three other times, but never bid Hotwire for this

particular hotel. Lowest published rate was $369 for a terrace-view room.

Partial ocean-view rooms are listed at $500 to $525;

Ocean-views at $600+

Even if we end up with a parking lot view, we don't mind, as there's a lot

of foliage to camouflage the parking lot.

4.5 stars and listed as "Customer Favorite"

Have been tracking prices for Hawaii in general for the last couple years and haven't found

the prices to be very low, even on Hotwire, as they were around 3.5 years ago.

Total price including taxes and fees for 7 nights --- $1,605.

Full-size car on Hotwire's site ran $220 total, including fees/taxes.

Got a better deal for the same car on PL, however [$191 at Hertz]

Redeeming frequent flyer miles, so this is turning out to be a great deal for Maui!!!! :)

Actually purchased the room on 5/9/07 -- rates fluctuated between $203 to $205 ...
