Tried bidding upto $55 in 2*'s in Plymouth Meeting (wanted to get the Springhill Suites or Residence Inn), no go. Last month it was easy to get the 2.5* Courtyard in Plymouth Mtg for $42-48/night. Not anymore apparently. Also, how come the Residence Inn is almost never avail. to win nowadays? Past 7 times I've used PL to get the 2* suite properties, it would let me win at around $45-50 and do an auto "upgrade" to the Courtyard. Unfortunately, I'm not too fond of the Courtyard.

Anyway, expanded search to the King of Prussia fully anticipating to get a 3* Scanitcon (ugh!). To my delight, the Valley Forge Suites are now participating as a 3* in the King of Prussia area. Property has pretty good reviews after renovations. Started w/$40, went to $55 in $5 increments.

Welcome to BetterBidding!

I've removed Wyndham from the topic title as this property is no longer part of the Wyndham chain (confirmed by a search of the Wyndham website) and is now just "Valley Forge Suites"... is priceline's winning bid page still showing the Wyndham brand?

Thanks for the post and enjoy your stay.

The property isn't a part of the Wyndham chain. The hotel is going to be an Embassy Suites property within the next few months with likely renovations to the rooms. The stay was nice for the price, but I wouldn't pay anything over $65/night. Exterior of the building and property is well maintained and clean. Interior lobby is ok. Our room was on the 2nd floor, not facing 202 Highway (per my request). It looks like the management is doing nothing in terms of preventative maintenance or otherwise -- parts of the hallways/doorways needed re-painting and looked sort of "worn." Room itself was clean (except for the bathroom floor which was sticky probably due to mopping?). Lighting in the "living area" of the room is pretty bad. Bedroom lighting is sufficient, bed comfortable (though not pillowtop as the hotel's website claims). Bathroom was decent, except that both times they cleaned the room, the bathroom tile floor was sticky. Overall, I don't think it sufficiently met my expectations of a 3* on Priceline -- it should be around 2.5* until every part of the property has been renovated.

Note that the property is located in Chesterbook. To get to King of Prussia (near the mall area), you have to take 202 for a few miles. Not a problem on weekends, but traffic on 202 is pretty bad during rush hr.

EDIT: I should also add that there was a noisy mom & kids in the room next to me (her yelling, kids throwing stuff/scratching at the wall adjacent to my bedroom). Requested the front desk to do something about it 2 times, but there was no change in the neighbor's behavior so I'm not sure if the front desk even bothered w/it. I sort of had an expectation that the front desk guy would offer to switch rooms, but no offer was made.
