IBDP
I have seen this hotel go for $45.00 many times, but decided to test my theory that if you bid out of its range, you would get one of the more desirable hotels. It did not work in this instance. First bid-$50.00. Link to comment
thereuare
Sorry to hear it didn't work out for you... guess you were looking for the Omni? (as the Holiday Inn sometimes can go for less) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
IBDP
Yes, Thereuare, the Omni would be the correct answer. But Doubletree is okay-free internet, at least. It's difficult to complain about $50.00 for a 3* hotel :) Link to comment
tenngirl
I was thinking about doing this to try for the omni too, so thanks for sharing--it will save me some cash!I think priceline always give you the lowest priced hotel in the star level you requested. I thought that was how they get their money. When you get "upgraded" to a higher star level, I think what actually happens is the higher star hotel was actually cheaper than the ones in the level you chose. Link to comment
